To convince active children to unplug, turn off, and experience the animal world with ZooKids instead of watching TV or playing video games. There are amazing things to experience in the animal kingdom.
Television and video games occupy a great deal of kid’s recreation time. Cartoons animals have taken the place of real animals. The main message of this campaign is to unplug and get into real life. The imagery is simple illustration, full of bright colors, showing animals and kids interacting in a wildlife setting. The creatures are “Unplugged” and venturing out on an adventure with the child.
Children today rarely get to interact with animals that are not domesticated, such as dogs and cats. The Animal kingdom plays a large roll in their lives without them even knowing it. American children as young as 6 years old spend on average of 6 hours per day consuming some form of media. The animals are unplugged to show that they are released from the control of media and are free to explore the world around they live in.
