Ad of the Day: The Economist

I don’t read The Economist, but their ads sure crack me up. The ads are some of the most recognizable ads out there. When you see white type on a flat red background, you know it’s The Economist.

 

 

Did you know they actually have ads that aren’t just type on a blank background? Crazy, huh?

 

 

The Economist is also branching out even further. Last September, they released a new campaign in which illustrators were hired, not the create preplanned illustrations, but to interpret lines of copy. This is what they came up with.
